GBC Leadership - Elders

The biblical leadership of a plurality of shepherding elders is found throughout the New Testament (also referred to as pastors, shepherds or overseers — see 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Ephesians 4:11ff). Elders are men who are qualified according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. We seek to have a plurality of elders as soon as the Lord blesses us with more qualified men that aspire for that office.

We also pray that the Lord will raise up men among us who will serve as deacons, overseeing many key aspects of the ministries of Grace Bible Church under the guidance of the elders. These deacons will have met the qualifications as found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13.
